What Are Your Vodafone Contract Options?
These days, a mobile contract is something of a necessity for going about our day to day lives. From paying for lunch to organising a ride home, our mobile phones have become crucial tools for navigating the world around us. As such, having a contract which gives us everything we need is crucial. These days though, there are countless different ways to get minutes, data and texts on to your phone, so how do you know what to choose? In this guide, we’ll be looking at the options you’ve got on Vodafone in the UK, so let’s dig in.
Are you happy with the phone you’ve currently got? Many people are, and for those, there’s simply no reason to sign up for a contract with a phone included. On those deals, you’re paying for the phone as well as the service, thus driving up your monthly price. On SIM only deals, you’ve got two options, either 12 month or rolling 30 day contracts. Each have their own distinct advantages:
30 day contracts:
- Rolling, so you can cancel or change contracts at any point without incurring fees.
- Comes with 4G as standard.
12 Month contracts:
- Cheaper than 30 day contracts.
- The first two months have completely unlimited 4G.
- Higher end contracts come with free access to either Now TV, Spotify, Sky Sports Mobile TV or Netflix.
Contracts are from as little as £9.50 a month but can go up to £27 a month, if you want huge amounts of data and free access to one of the aforementioned streaming services.
If, on the other hand, you’d like to get your mitts around the latest and greatest smartphone, there’s no better option than going for a pay monthly contract. These contracts allow you to pay off the price of your new phone alongside paying for minutes, texts and data. There are also countless options.
Contracts on Vodafone run from £22 a month for 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data for 24 months, all the way up to contracts at £44 a month for unlimited minutes and texts, alongside 10GB of data and free access to Netflix, Now TV, Spotify or Sky Sports Mobile TV.
If you’re already with Vodafone, you might be eligible to upgrade your phone or deal. This is great if you’re looking to continue on your current contract, but can’t wait to get your hands on the latest phones. Upgrading can be done within 30 days of the end of your contract with a standard bundle or within 60 days of the end of your contract. Alternatively, you can upgrade your contract to give yourself more minutes, texts or data. This will reset your contract though, so you’ll be starting another 24 month contract.
