Being a Sky customer means a lot of things. It means getting the best TV, superfast broadband and reliable home telephone services. It also means things like access to the latest and greatest TV tech like Sky Q and innovative home broadband solutions like Sky Broadband Shield.

When everything’s working as it should, Sky makes any home a better place to be, but what about when it isn’t? What can you do to get your issues resolved without resorting to the Sky contact number at 0844 800 3115? Well, you could make use of the Sky Diagnostic page.

What is Sky Diagnostic?

Sky Diagnostic was launched as a quick, simple and visual way for customers who are experiencing technical issues with their TV or broadband to get their problems solved.

Upon navigating to the Sky Diagnostic page, you’ll be greeted with two options. The first is for issues with your satellite signal and the second is for broadband connection errors.

Clicking through to ‘satellite signal error message’ page gives you an option of three guides, based on the visual errors you’re seeing. There are guides for if you’re getting an error message within Sky telling you that you aren’t receiving a satellite signal, if your Sky box is on but you’re seeing no input or no signal, or if your pictures distorted.

By clicking “help me fix it” on any of these issues will take you through to a visual guide on solving the problem. If the guides fail to help, simply click “not yet” at the bottom of the page, where you’re asked if your problem has been resolved. However, this will only put you through to a member of their online help squad. If your issue is urgent, we recommend calling the customer service team.

Broadband connection errors.

If you’re having broadband problems click the ‘broadband connection errors’ tab and you’ll be put through to a troubleshooting guide. From there, you can select exactly what your issue is step by step as Sky attempt to get to the bottom of your issue.

My problem isn’t listed, what can I do?

If you’ve been through the Diagnostic page and found that your issue isn’t listed, then you have two options. The first is to see if your problem has been resolved on the Sky Community forum. The second, of course, is to speak to Sky’s customer service team. They’re on hand 24/7 to deal with your issues, so don’t be afraid to give them a call.
