vodafone contact number

Vodafone is a name that’s synonymous with mobile communications in the UK, as the company power millions of calls, texts and messages every single day across these fair isles. Virgin Media are probably best known as the brand which placed Richard Branson front and centre for their advertising campaigns. They’re also well known for introducing the concept of so-called ‘quad play’ deals to the United Kingdom, but what do you really know about one of the UK’s largest telecommunications companies? In this short guide, we’ll run you through the history, services and contact details for Virgin Media, so join us as we do just that.

Mobile communications companies like T-Mobile, whether we acknowledge it or not, are responsible for some of the most important moments in our lives. The services they provide are invisible up until the point where they stop working, but they facilitate meaningful exchanges with friends, family, colleagues and everyone in between. The interactions that happen on our mobile phones have the power to change who we are, whether that’s on the phone, via text or through social media, and as such, it’s always worth paying just that little bit more attention to the companies which support them.

If you’ve ever sat in a public place and marveled at how fast your mobile internet is, then you have Three to thank for it. That company, who came out of nowhere to become one of the UK’s biggest and most potently advertised mobile networks in the country, were at the spearhead of a revolution in the way we use our phones from day to day. In fact, it’s fair to say that without Three the whole shape of the mobile landscape in the UK might be completely different to the way we can observe it today. What do I mean by that? Read on to find out.

It’s almost impossible not to encounter a TalkTalk service during your daily routine. Their broadband, home phone and digital TV services are so popular that simply strolling through town will invariably end up with you in earshot of one of their products. Unlike BT, Sky and Virgin Media though, TalkTalk don’t have a history which trails back to the early days of telephony or home internet, TalkTalk came late to the game. They did so with a simple idea: do it better, and offer it cheaper. So how did TalkTalk come to life?

My Sky Contact

Sky TV requires little introduction, but we’ll give you one anyway. Launched on the 2nd of November, 1990, the service has grown from a three channel offering with prohibitively high prices into a part of everyday life for millions of people. Today, Sky TV is home to over a thousand channels, some in HD and even some in 3D, meaning that there are now more ways to watch than ever before. Perhaps the biggest innovation in Sky’s young life so far though has been the introduction of Sky+.

Sky broadband contact

Whilst Sky are best known for their excellent TV service, it’s their broadband offering which has perhaps the greatest impact on customers. Each and every day we rely on the Internet to help us do what we need to get done. From social media to banking, there’s barely any part of our lives which hasn’t been touched by the expansion of the Internet, and so, broadband has become essential in our lives. Sky Broadband is one of the newest members of the Sky services family, so where did it come from?

The Santander Group is, by far, the largest bank in the Eurozone by market value. Indeed, by that metric, it’s also one of the largest banks in the world, with total assets over €1.266 trillion and profit of €5.816 billion for 2014. It’s also an extremely old one, having been founded in (you guessed it) Santander, Spain over 158 years ago. Strange, then that here in the United Kingdom, we hadn’t heard of the bank until the mid-2000’s, when they became a huge force on the high street, seemingly out of nowhere. So, how did Santander become such a huge force in the UK?

Once upon a time, buying things on the Internet either meant sending a cheque to a physical location or filling out clumsy, potentially dangerous forms which would send your card details to whatever company you were purchasing from. Put simply, it wasn’t ever quick, simple or painless. Naturally, something had to be done to improve the way that transactions were processed on the Internet, and whichever company could make it work would likely become very valuable indeed.

how to contact orange

Orange will always have a special place in the heart of millions of British citizens. Their campaigns throughout the 90s set the tone for bold, unique adverts, most notably their ‘The futures bright, the future’s orange’ adverts, and billboards which featured nothing but an orange square on a black background. They grew to become one of the biggest mobile networks in the UK before merging with T-Mobile in order to become the EE, which was then purchased by BT. Before all that though, Orange had a history that’s truly worth repeating, so let’s do that here.

T-Mobile USA Announces Unlimited Video Streaming

T-Mobile USA are on the warpath yet again in their battle to wrestle control of the lion’s share of customers from the likes of Verizon and AT&T. Previously, they introduced refresh plans to the USA, and now they’re bringing unlimited video streaming to some of their contracts.

TalkTalk Offer Freebies as Hack Apology

It hasn’t been easy being a TalkTalk customer these last couple of months. Ever since the company announced that it failed to safeguard against the leaking of 150,000 customers details and around 16,000 bank account numbers, customers have been –quite rightly- in a state of some distress. For the companies part, they’ve been doing what they can, manning the 0844 800 3124 contact number for TalkTalk and trying to help as many customers as possible.

o2 logo

If you were to write the story of the UK’s telecommunications industry, you simply couldn’t make it through without mentioning the company we now call O2. Through its various incarnations, O2 has been a constant driver of innovation, from the very first GSM network in the UK to their current sponsorship deals, O2 have remained a fascinating company to study. Most recently, they’ve been subject to an acquisition bid from Hutchison Whampoa, the owner of Three, which would make one of the biggest networks in the United Kingdom. There’s a long road leading up to the present though, so let’s take a look.

HSBC contact

Let’s face it, nobody really likes banks. If we aren’t hearing about them on the news, then we’re stood in line at a branch waiting patiently for our turn to talk to an advisor. Nevertheless, they remain an important part of not just our lives, but also the wider British economy. It’s also fair to say that whilst some banks are drab institutions, there are some that come with interesting backstories. HSBC are one such institution, so let’s dig in on what makes HSBC so interesting.

25 Premium Channels Added to EE TV

The market was surprised when EE announced they would wade into the pay TV war with a low cost box and subscription service, but that didn’t stop it from impressing when it landed. Blending excellent mobile applications, a quick and intuitive box and just £4.99 a month fees, it proved to be a minor hit for the company. No TV service that wants to survive can stand still though, and EE intend to keep moving there one forward. In that spirit, they’ve just announced that they’ll be adding 25 new premium TV channels to the service for customers to enjoy.

Ebay contact

eBay is one of the great early Internet success stories. It was a time when most websites on the nascent World Wide Web were barebones affairs, designed primarily to either provide information or facilitate conversation. Starting life as AuctionWeb on a $30 a month server, it’s grown to be one of the biggest commerce platforms on the platform, a household name and a place where you can find almost anything. Its story is remarkable, so join us as we repeat it now.
